essay quiz

The dystopian worlds of Fahrenheit 451 and Anthem are pretty similar. In each book there is a main character that figures out that there is a secret behind the life they have been living. in Faharenheit 451 Montag found out that his life of being a “fireman” was not what it really was. he was burning books because the government told him too, he himself never had really even read one so he didnt know what he was missing. In anthem it was equality 725 who found out that the wold he lived in where everything revolved around the word “we” was not all it was cracked up to be either. The world of  “we” meant laws that were unfair to him and anyone else that lived in it, the laws that he had to abide by wich told him to never get close to a person and not do anything that was not in a law meant that he had no life to himself he pretty much obeyed what the government told him to also. The ends of both these books are fairly similar, in Fahrenheit 451 in the end the government says that Montag is dead when really he is not he just ran away. In anthem equality and “the golden one” his girlfriend run away together and find that there is pretty much another world out there that has been hidden from them. In each story the government screws both the main characters over and in the end the main characters always find out and try to find the truth. I think that anthem has a way better ending in the sence that i feels more complete the way that equality and her have a baby and try to say that they are going to raise him normally instead of the ending to Fahrenheit 451 where the government just lies about montags being. Both these stories have their ups and downs but they both share the fact that the ends complete the journey in wich the main characters are trying to acheive wich is living a life that they can call their own.

the bible

faber is saying that god has been downsized and turned into an almost t.v. star instead of the saviour. there was also really nothing any of them could do to control the change because the government messed them up by taking the bible away so now people dont know they truth and without the truth how are you supposed to change anything? now i think that montag and faber should fight for what they have figured out. Montag should quit his job of being a fireman and start a group like thing to preserve the books that are still in existance. they should achieve sustaining books for as long as they can. “I grunted a few times and subsided, for there were no others grunting or yelling with me, by then. Now, it’s too late.” Faber closed the Bible.”
i think that quote is kinda showing that faber thinks there is nothing left they can do to sustain books but i think that montags going to create a plan and a group or something to insure that books be preserved because i know montag likes books now because he skipped his job of burning them so that he could stay home and read them. and now that montag knows the truth he knows that everyone is going to be against him except for a few people that know what he know or that love what he loves so he is going to either fight alone for whats right or he is going to organize a group like i said. montag is a very smart man so i think by the end of the book he will find a solution to the burning of books
